Mikael Johansson (ice Hockey, Born 1985)
Mikael Johansson (born June 27, 1985) is a Swedish professional ice hockey centre, currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played under contract with the SCL Tigers of the Swiss National League (NL). He was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the 9th round (289th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Johansson came through the youth ranks of Arvika HC. During the 2004–05 season, he played his first minutes in the Swedish second division HockeyAllsvenskan with Bofors IK and made his debut with Färjestad BK in the top-flight Swedish Hockey League (SHL) one year later. He spent eight years with the club, winning the Swedish championship three times (2006, 2009, 2011), interrupted by a stint with Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League in 2009-10 after signing with NHL's Montreal Canadiens who sent him to their AHL affiliate. 2009–10 AHL Season
The 2009–10 AHL season was the 74th season of the American Hockey League. Twenty-nine teams played 80 regular-season games each from October 2 to April 11. This season featured the addition of one new team, the relocation of two others, and the involuntary suspension of another. League business European pre-season openers On June 11, 2009, both the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Toronto Marlies were invited to participate in a four-team preseason tournament in Edinburgh, Scotland, to celebrate Scotland's contribution to the game of ice hockey. The Edinburgh Capitals, Scotland's only Elite Ice Hockey team, hosted the tournament from September 24–27. The Bulldogs and Marlies played the Capitals and the Belfast Giants in order to win the Gardiner Cup. Hamilton defeated Toronto in the final. The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers are a professional ice hockey club from Rapperswil, Switzerland and are members of the National League. History The Lakers were founded in 1945 and were known as SC Rapperswil-Jona until 2005, when the club changed its name to Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and then again changed their name to SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers in 2015. The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. BIK Karlskoga is a Swedish ice hockey team based in Karlskoga, Sweden. They are currently playing in the second highest league in Sweden, the HockeyAllsvenskan. In 1963, the club IFK Bofors was merged with Karlskoga IF and formed KB 63 (formally IF Karlskoga/Bofors). Between 1978 and 2011 the club was known as Bofors IK, which was then changed to its current name.
