The Mihrimah Sultan Mosque (Turkish language, Turkish: ''Mihrimah Sultan Cami)'' is a 16th-century Ottoman Empire, Ottoman mosque located near the Walls of Constantinople, Byzantine land walls in the Edirnekapı, Istanbul, Edirnekapı neighborhood of Istanbul, Turkey. It was commissioned by Mihrimah Sultan (daughter of Suleiman I), Mihrimah Sultan, the daughter of Suleiman the Magnificent and Roxelana, Hürrem Sultan, and designed by the chief imperial architect Mimar Sinan. Sited on the summit of the Seven hills of Istanbul, Sixth Hill near the highest point of the city, the mosque is a prominent city landmark. Üsküdar
Üsküdar () is a municipality and district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its area is 35 km2, and its population is 524,452 (2022). It is a large and densely populated district on the Anatolian (Asian) shore of the Bosphorus. It is bordered to the north by Beykoz, to the east by Ümraniye, to the southeast by AtaÅŸehir and to the south by Kadıköy; with Karaköy, KabataÅŸ, BeÅŸiktaÅŸ, and the historic Sarayburnu quarter of Fatih facing it on the opposite shore to the west.
