Miho Saeki
(born 18 March 1976) is a Japanese former tennis player, winner of professional tournaments in doubles and singles, and a representative of Japan in the Fed Cup, Federation Cup. Career Saeki's career began officially in April 1994. As a junior finale, she boasts a doubles tournament in the youth edition of the Japan Open Tennis Championships, Japan Open. In senior tennis, she began mainly outside the main cycle of the WTA Tour, winning a total of 16 singles and eight doubles titles belonging to the ITF Women's Circuit. She gained four wins in doubles on WTA Tour, with her partners - Yuka Yoshida and Naoko Kijimuta. Her career-high ranking was at No. 56 in singles (June 1998) and No. 49 in doubles (July 1997). China Open (tennis)
The China Open is a hardcourt tennis tournament organized by the Chinese Tennis Association annually at the China National Tennis Center in Beijing, China. It is held in late September and early October. The women's event is a WTA 1000 tournaments, WTA 1000 event on the WTA Tour, while the men's is an ATP 500 event on the ATP Tour. The total prize money for the 2023 tournament is US$11.62 million, the highest for tournaments of the same level. The tournament was first held in 1993, discontinued in 1998, and reinstated in 2004. In 2006, the China Open became the first tournament outside the United States to use the Hawk-Eye system in match play. Abigail Michal Spears (born July 12, 1981) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Spears won 21 double titles including the 2017 Australian Open. Spears started playing tennis in 1988 when she was 7 years old, and turned professional in 2000. Spears and compatriot, Raquel Kops-Jones, were one of the most successful doubles team of the 2012 season, winning four tour titles and reaching the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. Laura Granville (born May 12, 1981) is an American former professional tennis player. During the two years she spent at Stanford University, she set the record for most consecutive singles victories with 58 and finished with an overall record of 93–3. Granville won the NCAA Championship in singles as well as the ITA Player of the Year in both 2000 and 2001. In 2001, Stanford won the women's tennis national team championship, and Granville was also a doubles finalist. She retired in 2010 after seven full years on the WTA Tour and returned to Stanford, where she completed her studies and graduated in 2012. The Thailand Open (also known as PTT Pattaya Open) was a women's tennis tournament held in Pattaya, Thailand. Held since 1991, this WTA Tour event was classified as an WTA International Tournaments, International tournament and was played on hardcourts. The event was part of the Tier V series from 1991 to 1992 and then again from 2001 to 2003. It was a Tier IV event from 1993 to 2000 and was promoted back to Tier IV in 2005, after a year's hiatus.
