Miguel Ángel Yunes Linares (born December 5, 1952) is a Mexican politician and former Governor of Veracruz from 2016 to 2018. Biography Early political career in the PRI Yunes graduated from the Universidad Veracruzana with a law degree in 1974; during his studies, he worked as a legal advisor in his hometown of Soledad de Doblado. He worked in the civil service from 1974 to 1975 and then as the president of the state's Fiscal Tribunal between 1977 and 1978. Flavino Ríos Alvarado (born December 22, 1950) is a Mexican politician affiliated to the Institutional Revolutionary Party who served as the Interim Governor of Veracruz from October 12 to November 30, 2016. Life Ríos was born in Minatitlán and obtained a doctorate degree in law from the UNAM; he also taught law at the UNAM and Universidad Veracruzana and is a licensed public notary. He would go on to serve in the state government as executive secretary to the State Public Safety Council and as subsecretary of government. In 2010, Ríos was elected from the 28th state district of Veracruz, representing Minatitlán, to the 62nd Legislature of Veracruz. Héctor Yunes Landa (born 27 September 1958) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the PRI. From 2012 to 2016, he represented Veracruz as a senator in the LXII and LXIII Legislatures of the Mexican Congress. He also served as Deputy from 1985 to 1988 in the LIII Legislature. Life Yunes graduated from the Universidad Veracruzana in 1982 with a degree in law, though his political career had begun as early as 1977, when he joined the PRI. Javier Duarte de Ochoa (born 19 September 1973) is a Mexican politician formerly affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) who served as Governor of Veracruz from 2010 to 2016. He also served as congressman during the LXI Legislature of the Mexican Congress representing Veracruz, leaving his seat on 16 February 2010.
