Miguel Ángel Gámez (born 5 December 1954) is a Honduran politician. He served as deputy of the National Congress of Honduras representing the National Party of Honduras The National Party of Honduras (PNH; ) is a conservative political party in Honduras founded on 27 February 1902, by Manuel Bonilla Chirinos. In April 2012 he was appointed as minister of the Secretary of Public Works, Transport and Housing. He left office in May 2013 in order to run for re-election in the 2013 general elections. Gámez is also known for writing both literature and songs. The National Party of Honduras (PNH; ) is a conservative political party in Honduras founded on 27 February 1902, by Manuel Bonilla Chirinos. Historically it has been one of the two most influential parties in the country. The party's platform is based on Christian humanist doctrine, and its five main principles are common wealth, dignity of the human person, equality, solidarity and subsidiarity. Since the foundation of the National Party, Honduras has had 13 PNH presidents. Manuel Bonilla was the first (1903–1907), and the most recent is the president, Juan Orlando Hernández who served from 2014 to 2022. Intibucá Department
Intibucá () is one of the 18 departments in the Republic of Honduras. Intibucá covers a total surface area of . Its capital is the city of La Esperanza, in the municipality of La Esperanza. History The department of Intibucá was created on April 16, 1883 upon recommendation of the Governor of the department of Gracias (now called Lempira), Jose Maria Cacho in 1869. He advised that the vast size of Gracias made it difficult to govern and that it would be desirable to divide it into more than one department. On March 7, 1883 Decree No. 10 was issued, which called for the creation of a new department to be named Intibucá in April of that year. The town of La Esperanza was designated to be the capital of the new department. To create the new department, territory from both the departments of Gracias and La Paz were reassigned.
