Miguel David Gutiérrez Suárez (born 21 February 1997) is a Cuban volleyball player. He is part of the Cuba men's national volleyball team. On club level he plays for Volley Prata. Villa Clara is one of the provinces of Cuba. The 2016 Men's Junior Continental Championship is the tenth edition of the bi-annual tournament. It is played from 5–10 July on Gatineau, Quebec. The tournament will consist of seven teams. 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship
The 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship was the third and final edition of the international volleyball tournament and the world championship for men's national teams under the age of 23, organized by the sport's world governing body, FIVB. The tournament was held in Cairo, Egypt from 18 to 25 August 2017. 12 teams from the 5 confederations competed in the tournament. Argentina defeated defending champions Russia 4–2 in the final to claim their first title in the competition. This marked Argentina's first ever world title at any age group. Cuba won the bronze medal outclassing Brazil 4–1. Germán Johansen from Argentina was elected the MVP. After this tournament, FIVB declared that "As per decision of May 2019 FIVB Board of Administration, the U23 WCH has been abolished." The 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was the nineteenth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, contested by the men's national teams under the age of 21 of the members of the FIVB, the sport's global governing body. The tournament was held in Brno and České Budějovice, Czech Republic from 23 June to 2 July 2017. 16 teams participated. Players must be born on or after 1 January 1997. Poland defeated Cuba in the final to capture their third title in the competition. FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, called the FIVB Volleyball Men's Junior World Championship between 2007 and 2011, is the world championship of volleyball for male players under the age of 21 organized by ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' ( FIVB). The first edition was staged in 1977 in Brazil and tournaments have been played every four years for the first three editions and every two years since then. The most recent tournament was hosted by Bahrain in the city of Manama and won by Iran. In July 2023, FIVB announced the increase of teams from 16 to 24 and that the tournament would be staged in even-numbered years starting in 2026 in combination with the U17 World Championships, to ensure progressive participation of athletes in their respective age group categories.
