Miguel Alemán González
Miguel Alemán González (1884 – March 20, 1929) was a Mexican general who served in the Mexican Revolution. Early life Miguel Alemán González was born in 1884. Military career Alemán González was a pioneer of the Mexican Revolution in the state of Veracruz. Alemán González took up arms again in 1927. He spearheaded a movement of armed resistance against presidents Álvaro Obregón and Plutarco Elías Calles. Death and legacy Alemán González died on March 20, 1929, in San Juan Evangelista. He either committed suicide, or he was burned alive as General Miguel Acosta set fire to the forest where he was hiding during a battle. He was buried in Sayula de Alemán on March 25, 1937. Miguel Alemán Valdés (; 29 September 1900 – 14 May 1983) was a Mexican politician who served a full term as the President of Mexico from 1946 to 1952, the first civilian president after a string of revolutionary generals. His administration was characterized by Mexico's rapid industrialization, often called the Mexican Miracle, but also for a high level of personal enrichment for himself and his associates. His presidency was the first of a new generation of Mexican leaders who had not directly participated in the Mexican Revolution, and many in his cabinet were also young, university-educated civilians, close friends from his days at university. Miguel Alemán Velasco (born 18 March 1932) is a Mexican politician, businessman and philanthropist. He is a former senator and governor of Veracruz. Alemán Velasco is the son of former Mexican president Miguel Alemán Valdés (1946–52), the first candidate to run for the presidency from the Institutional Revolutionary Party and the first civilian president in the modern era, and Beatriz Velasco Mendoza. Alemán Velasco has been active in both the public and private sectors. Education Alemán Velasco holds a bachelor's degree in Law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Miguel Alemán Magnani is a Mexican tycoon who was the president and CEO of Mexican airline Interjet, which was facing liquidation on a federal court order as of April 2023. The Estadio Miguel Alemán Valdés is a multi-use stadium in Celaya, Guanajuato. Mexico. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Club Celaya. Miguel Alemán Dam
The Miguel Alemán Dam is on the Tonto River in the Papaloapan Region of Oaxaca state in southern Mexico, just upstream from the town of Temascal, Oaxaca, forming the Miguel Alemán Lake with an area of 47,800 hectares. The dam operates in conjunction with the Cerro de Oro Dam, located on the Santo Domingo River to control floods in the Papaloapan basin in Veracruz state. Together with the 22,000 hectare reservoir of the Cerro de Oro, which is joined by a channel to the Miguel Alemán Lake, the combined capacity is 13,380  million cubic metres. The lake formed by the dam is scenic, providing income from fishing and tourism. The northwestern shore and islands have been declared a nature reserve. The dam includes the Temascal hydroelectric plant. José Miguel Alemán Healy (born 8 May 1956, in Panama City) is a Panamanian Attorney, Politician and Businessman. He spent a significant part of his childhood living in Washington, DC while his father, Roberto Alemán Zubieta, was serving as a lead negotiator of the Robles-Johnson Three in One Treaty project in 1968. Roberto Alemán Zubieta was appointed as Ambassador of the Republic of Panama in Washington, D.C., and served in that capacity until early 1970. His brother Jaime Alemán Healy, also served as Ambassador of the Republic of Panama under President Ricardo Martinelli, from 2009-2011. From the late 1930s to the early 1950s, Miguel Alemán was one of the leading Cuban chess players. He won the Cuban Chess Championship in 1939.
