Mighty Hoopla
Mighty Hoopla is a yearly outdoor music festival in London, and Europe's largest LGBTQ+ music festival. It was founded by Glynn Fussell and Jamie Tagg, organisers of clubnight Sink The Pink, Sean Rowley, and Ally Wolf. The first event was held in 2016 at Butlins in Bognor Regis on the south coast, before moving to Victoria Park, Tower Hamlets in 2017, and then Brockwell Park in South London from 2018. The Butlins version of the festival was revived as The Mighty Hoopla Big Weekender from 2022 until 2024. In 2025 the Big Weekender moved to the Mediterranean island of Malta, with venues in multiple locations including Cafe Del Mar in Saint Paul's Bay, Little Armier Beach in Mellieħa, and Gianpula Village on the outskirts of Rabat. The festival is known for including performances and DJ sets by drag performers. At the 2024 edition this included Jodie Harsh, David Hoyle, Tia Kofi, and Ginny Lemon. Flo (group)
Flo (stylised in uppercase) are a British girl group from London consisting of members Jorja Douglas, Stella Quaresma, and Renée Downer. The group formed in 2019 and signed to Island Records, where they released their breakthrough single " Cardboard Box", which preceded their debut extended play, '' The Lead'' (2022). Flo later topped the BBC's Sound of 2023 poll, and won the 2023 Brit Award for Rising Star. Members Stella Quaresma was born in Kingston upon Thames, and at four weeks old, she moved to Mozambique. She moved back to the British countryside at the age of five, before returning to London, where she began attending the Sylvia Young Theatre School, where she met bandmate Renée Downer. James Allen Clarke (born 1985), better known as Jodie Harsh, is a London-based DJ music producer, promoter, and drag queen. Born in Canterbury, Kent in 1985, Harsh attended the London College of Fashion. While at university, she first adopted the persona of Jodie Harsh to make money through nightclub jobs. In April 2016, it was announced that Harsh has filmed scenes for '' Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie'', a film adaptation of the cult British television series; the film was released in July 2016. Alma-Sofia Miettinen (born 17 January 1996), known professionally as Alma (stylised in all caps), is a Finnish singer and songwriter. Beginning her career in 2013, she placed fifth in the seventh season of the Finnish version of '' Idol''. All Saints (band)
All Saints are an English girl group formed in London in 1993. They were founded as All Saints 1.9.7.5 by music manager Ron Tom, who later also founded Sugababes, with members Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis, and Simone Rainford. The group struggled to find commercial success upon being signed to ZTT Records and were dropped by the label shortly after Rainford left the group. Baby D is an English breakbeat hardcore and house music group, best known for their 1992 single " Let Me Be Your Fantasy", which went number 1 in the UK in 1994. Career The group was formed by Production House Records, a record label set up in 1987 by former recording artist Phil Fearon, whose group Galaxy had had a number of hits in the 1980s. Involved with the rave scene, Production House's in-house record producer, Floyd Dyce, wrote and performed under several different names, including The House Crew, DMS and Xstatic. Rozalla Miller (born 18 March 1964), better known as simply Rozalla, is a Zimbabwean electronic music performer who was born in what was then Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia). At the age of 18, she moved with her parents to her father's country of origin, Zimbabwe. Corona is an Italian Eurodance project. Initially as a band originally formed by the Brazilian-born singer and model Olga Maria de Souza and the producer Francesco "Checco" Bontempi (a.k.a. Sister Sledge is an American musical vocal group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formed in 1971, the group consisted of sisters Debbie, Joni, Kim, and Kathy Sledge. Hercules and Love Affair is a dance music project created by American DJ, singer, composer, musician and producer Andy Butler in 2004. Consisting of a rotating cast of performers and musicians, the band work within the genres of house music, disco, techno and nu-disco.
