Mieke Kröger
Mieke Kröger (born 18 July 1993) is a German track and road racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career After two years with the team, she rode for on the road in 2015. In November 2015, she was announced as part of the team's inaugural squad for the 2016 season. In October 2017, the-then announced that Kröger would join them for the 2018 season, with the aim of developing her ability in road races alongside her time trialling. 2019 UEC European Track Championships
The 2019 UEC European Track Championships was the tenth edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Omnisport Apeldoorn in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, between 16 and 20 October 2019. The event was organised by the European Cycling Union. All European champions were awarded the UEC European Champion jersey which may be worn by the champion throughout the year when competing in the same event at other competitions. Cycling At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's Team Pursuit
The women's team pursuit event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 2 and 3 August 2021 at the Izu Velodrome. 32 cyclists (8 teams of 4) from 8 nations competed. Background This will be the 3rd appearance of the event, which has been held at every Summer Olympics since its introduction in 2012. The reigning Olympic champions are Katie Archibald, Laura Kenny, Elinor Barker, and Joanna Rowsell Shand of Great Britain; Great Britain has won both prior Olympic events (with Kenny and Rowsell Shand on both teams). On 1 June, it was announced that the championships would go ahead in the second week of October 2021. UEC European Track Championships
The European Track Cycling Championships are a set of elite level competition events held annually for the various disciplines and distances in track cycling, exclusively for European cyclists, and regulated by the European Cycling Union (UEC). They were first held in their current format in 2010, when elite level cyclists competed for the first time following an overhaul of European track cycling. The UEC agreed with the governing bodies of six other major European sports from 2018 to integrate its four Olympic-class events, including track cycling, into the new European Championships event on a quadrennial basis. Beginning with 2018, every fourth edition of the competition will form part of the multi-sport event. While track cycling also forms part of the 2019 European Games in Minsk, these events are not regarded as European Championships but as the Cycling programme of the European Games, and the UEC event will also be held later in the same year.
