Mieczysław Edwin Łopatka (born 10 October 1939) is a Polish former professional basketball player and basketball coach, coach. At a height of tall, and a weight of , he played at the small forward position. Club career Łopatka was a member of the FIBA European Selection, in 1969. He won 2 Polish Basketball League, Polish League championships (1965, 1970), and the Polish Basketball Cup, Polish Cup (1972). He Polish Basketball League Top Scorer, led the Polish League in scoring 4 times (1961, 1963, 1966, 1967), and he was a two time PLK Most Valuable Player, Polish League Player of the Year (1965, 1969). Drachowo
Drachowo is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Niechanowo, within Gniezno County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. Basketball at the 1960 Summer Olympics was the fifth appearance of the sport of Basketball at the Summer Olympics, basketball as an official Olympic medal event. 16 nations were admitted into the Olympic tournament, with many others being eliminated in a 1960 Pre-Olympic Basketball Tournament, pre-Olympic tournament held earlier in the year from 13 to 20 August 1960 at the PalaDozza, Land Rover Arena at Bologna. 64 games of basketball were played in the Olympic tournament that was held at the Palazzetto dello Sport and PalaLottomatica, both in Rome. Basketball at the Summer Olympics has been a sport for men consistently since 1936. Prior to its inclusion as a medal sport, basketball was held as an unofficial demonstration event in 1904 and 1924. Women's basketball made its debut in the Summer Olympics in 1976.
