Michaela Pejzlová
Michaela "Míša" Pejzlová (born 6 April 1997) is a Czech ice hockey player and member of the Czech Republic women's national ice hockey team, Czech national team. She is signed with the Hockey Club Ambrì-Piotta Girls (HCAP Girls) of the Swiss Women's League (Switzerland), Women's League (SWHL A) for the 2024–25 season. Her college ice hockey, collegiate career was played with the Clarkson Golden Knights women's ice hockey, Clarkson Golden Knights of ECAC Hockey, with whom she twice won the NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Tournament, NCAA Championship. Playing career Pejzlová started her career playing with HC Pardubice (women), HC Pardubice of the Czech Women's Extraliga before joining the Czech Republic women's national under-18 ice hockey team, Czech U18 national team, and later the Czech senior national team. HC Dynamo Pardubice is a professional ice hockey club that plays in the Czech Extraliga. Its home venue is Enteria arena located in Pardubice. The club was originally named LTC Pardubice, acquiring its current name at the start of the 2015–16 season. History Ice hockey has been played in Pardubice since the beginning of the 20th century. Hockey's beginnings in Pardubice can be traced to the Matiční jezero where bandy, a hockey-like game, was played. This style of hockey was adopted from football – there were 11 players, opposing goals, a ball, and a football-like field. The first match of ice hockey was played in 1913 on the very same lake. 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship
The 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship was an international Ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation. It was contested in Espoo, Finland from 4 to 14 April 2019 at the Espoo Metro Areena. The United States won their fifth consecutive and ninth overall title after a shootout win over Finland. Canada claimed the bronze medal by defeating Russia 7–0. IIHF Women's World Championships
The IIHF Women's World Championship is the premier international women's tournament in ice hockey. It is governed by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The official world competition was first held in 1990, with four more championships held in the 90s. From 1989 to 1996, and in years that there was no world tournament held, there were European Championships and in 1995 and 1996 a Pacific Rim Championship. From the first Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Tournament in 1998 onward, the Olympic tournament was played instead of the IIHF Championships. Afterwards, the IIHF decided to hold Women's Championships in Olympic years, starting in 2014, but not at the top level. Élizabeth Giguère
Élizabeth Giguère (born May 8, 1997) is a Canadian ice hockey player for the Ottawa Charge of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She previously played for the New York Sirens of the PWHL and the Boston Pride of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). She played college ice hockey with the Clarkson Golden Knights and the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs, and won the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2020. Loren Gabel (born July 24, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player for the Boston Fleet of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). 2017–18 Clarkson Golden Knights Women's Ice Hockey Season
The Clarkson Golden Knights women's ice hockey program represented Clarkson University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Golden Knights entered the season as the defending national champions as well as the ECAC regular season and tournament champions. They also entered the season as the top-ranked team in both the USCHO.com and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls for the first time. In their most successful season to date, the Golden Knights successfully defended all three titles. Windjammer Classic
The Windjammer Classic was an annual ice hockey tournament for college hockey teams, hosted by the University of Vermont and featuring one team from each of the other three NCAA Division I women's hockey conferences: College Hockey America (CHA), ECAC Hockey, and Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). The tournament was sponsored by The Windjammer and Upper Deck Pub in Burlington Vermont. The final edition took place in 2019, won by the Clarkson Golden Knights.
