Michael Špaček (2 March 1991, in Montélimar – 12 October 2009, in Plzeň) was a Czech youth motocross champion. Motocross is a form of off-road motorcycle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits. The sport evolved from motorcycle trials competitions held in the United Kingdom. Homeobox protein EMX1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ''EMX1'' gene. The transcribed EMX1 gene is a member of the EMX family of transcription factors.
