Michael Genet
Michael Genet (born August 25, 1958) is an American actor and screenwriter. He has guest starred in a number of television series based in the New York City area, they include ''The Equalizer (1985 TV series), The Equalizer'', ''New York Undercover'', ''Law & Order'', ''Law & Order: Criminal Intent'', ''Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'', ''Ugly Betty'' and the soap operas ''As the World Turns'', ''One Life to Live''. As a screenwriter, Genet wrote the film ''She Hate Me'' (2004), directed by Spike Lee, co-writing the film with Lee. Genet also appeared in the film playing the older brother of the film's protagonist, played by Anthony Mackie. Prior to this, he appeared in Lee's 2002 film ''25th Hour''. The next film he wrote ''Talk to Me (2007 film), Talk to Me'' (2007), was directed by Kasi Lemmons, co-writing the film with Rick Famuyiwa. Rick Famuyiwa
Rick Famuyiwa (born June 18, 1973) is a Nigerian-American filmmaker and television director. He is best known for the films ''The Wood'' (1999), ''Brown Sugar'' (2002), and '' Dope'' (2015), as well as for his work on the television series ''The Mandalorian'', for which he directed five episodes and served as an executive producer for the third season. His films have been nominated for or won multiple awards, including in 2008, when he received an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Writing in a Motion Picture for the film '' Talk To Me'' (2007). Early life and education Famuyiwa grew up near Los Angeles, California in Inglewood. The son of Nigerian immigrants, Famuyiwa is a second-generation American. The seventeenth season of ''Law & Order'' premiered on NBC on September 22, 2006, and concluded on May 18, 2007. This is the last season to feature Fred Thompson (Arthur Branch), the only season to feature Milena Govich and the first season to feature Alana de la Garza.
