Michael Frisch
Michael Frisch (born 4 September 1957) is a German politician of Alternative for Germany (AfD). He has been leader of the party's Rhineland-Palatinate branch since November 2019. Frisch teaches mathematics and Catholic religion at the vocational school for nutrition, home economics and social affairs in Trier. A former member of the CDU, he became a member of AfD in 2013. The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), Germany's domestic intelligence agency, had classified the party as a "confirmed right-wing extremist endeavour". Rhineland-Palatinate ( , ; ; ; ) is a western state of Germany. It covers and has about 4.05 million residents. It is the ninth largest and sixth most populous of the sixteen states. Mainz is the capital and largest city. Other cities are Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Koblenz, Trier, Kaiserslautern, Worms, and Neuwied.
