Michael Bair
Michael A. Hernandez is an Americans, American comics artist also known by the pen name Michael Bair, who is best known for his work as an inker. His work includes Marvel Comics' ''Alpha Flight (comic book), Alpha Flight'', and DC Comics' ''Hawkman''. He is best known for inking Rags Morales' pencils since 2002, most notably on the miniseries ''Identity Crisis (DC Comics), Identity Crisis''. Biography Bair started his career in the early 1980s, pencilling a "Stormy Tempest" story in ''Star*Fems'' #2 for AC Comics/Paragon Publications in 1982. In 1983, he began working for the leading American comic book publishers, DC Comics and Marvel Comics. Bair's first work for "DC was the 'Huntress (Helena Wayne), Huntress' backup in ''Wonder Woman'' and then ''America vs. the Justice Society, JSA Vs America,''" all of which work, he recalls, "was pencilling." Maiden Name
When a person (traditionally the wife in many cultures) assumes the family name of their spouse, in some countries and cultures that name replaces the person's previous surname, which in the case of the wife is called the maiden name ("birth name" is also used as a gender-neutral or masculine substitute for maiden name), whereas a married name is a family name or surname adopted upon marriage. Secret Origins
''Secret Origins'' is the title of several comic book series published by DC Comics which featured the origin stories of the publisher's various characters. Publication history ''Secret Origins'' was first published as a one-shot in 1961 and contained only reprinted material. The title became an ongoing reprint series in February–March 1973 which ran for seven issues and ended in October–November 1974. The title was used on various compilations of origin stories, including '' Limited Collectors' Edition'' #C-39: ''Secret Origins Super-Villains'' (October–November 1975) and #C-45: ''More Secret Origins Super-Villains'' (June–July 1976) as well as '' DC Special Series'' #10 (1978) and 19 (Fall 1979). Mindy Newell
Mindy Newell (born October 24, 1953) is an American comic book writer and editor, best known for her work with DC Comics. Early life Born in Brooklyn, New York, Newell graduated from high school in 1971. She then attended the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center to study nursing. Following her nursing schooling, Newell enrolled at Quinnipiac University and studied biology while working as a nurse. Biography A longtime fan of comics, particularly of Marvel's Spider-Man, Mindy Newell sent submissions to DC Comics in 1983 at a time when the company was actively looking for new talent. Her first professional work was her creation of the character Jenesis, which appeared in three issues of '' New Talent Showcase''.
