Mexico City Capitanes
The Mexico City Capitanes () are a Mexican professional basketball team based in Mexico City. The Capitanes competed as a member club in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP) for its first three seasons and the franchise is currently a member of the NBA G League. The team plays their home games in Mexico City Arena. The Capitanes were established before the 2017–18 season, after the Mexican capital had been without a basketball team for a decade. In December 2019, the National Basketball Association's commissioner Adam Silver announced that the Capitanes would be joining the league's developmental league, the NBA G League, for at least five seasons beginning in the 2020–21 season. Correbasket UAT
Correbasket UAT is a Mexican professional basketball team. It has been a member of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, LNBP since the 2000 season. History The team was founded as Correcaminos UAT in 1995 as a founding member of the Conferencia de Básquetbol Profesional (CBP). They joined Circuito Mexicano de Básquetbol (CIMEBA) in 1997, and then the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional in 2000. It was the champion in 2002 and reached the league finals twice. The team was renamed Correbasket UAT in 2016. Correbasket is owned by the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas. In 2017, it was profiled in an ESPN article, during which season it finished last in the league. However, forward Grandy Glaze led the league in rebounding. The Michelob Ultra Arena, formerly the Mandalay Bay Events Center, is a 12,000-seat multi-purpose indoor arena at the Mandalay Bay, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The Bert Ogden Arena is an indoor arena in Edinburg, Texas, United States. The arena officially opened in August 2018 and currently houses the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets. 2021–22 NBA G League Season
The 2021–22 NBA G League season was the 21st season of the NBA G League, the official minor league basketball organization owned by the National Basketball Association (NBA). The prior season, the league played a shortened season with 18 teams and all games were held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Bay Lake, Florida, in similar to the 2020 NBA Bubble due to the ongoing restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021–22 season consisted of two phases: a Showcase Cup from November 5 to December 22, with all 30 teams participating before 28 of the league teams underwent a traditional regular season intended to span 36 games for each team from January 5 to April 2 before postseason.
