Metehan Baltacı (born 3 November 2002) is a Turkish footballer who plays as a centre-back for Galatasaray. Professional career A youth product of Galatasaray, Baltacı began his senior career on a season-long loan with İskenderunspor in the TFF Third League on 7 August 2021. He returned to Galatasaray the following season and on 19 October 2022, he made his senior debut with Galatasaray in a 7–0 Turkish Cup win over Kastamonuspor on 19 October 2022. On 1 February 2022, he extended his contract with Galatasaray until 2026. that same day, he joined Manisa on loan for the second half of the 2022–23 season in the TFF First League. On 6 August 2023, he joined Eyüpspor on loan for the 2023–24 season in the TFF First League. Fatih () is a municipality and district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its area is 15 km2, and its population is 368,227 (2022). It is home to almost all of the provincial authorities (including the mayor's office, police headquarters, metropolitan municipality and tax office) but not the courthouse. The 2022–23 Süper Lig, officially called the Spor Toto Süper Lig 2022–23 season, was the 65th season of the Süper Lig, the highest tier football league of Turkey. The season has started on 5 August 2022 and ended on 7 June 2023. Galatasaray clinched their 23rd league title, and first since the 2018–19 season, on 30 May 2023, with two games to spare. Due to Turkey's poor UEFA ranking (20th at the end of the 2021–22 season), in this season only four teams qualified for the European cups instead of the usual five. The team in first place entered the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League's second qualifying round, while teams in second and third place, as well the winners of the 2022–23 Turkish Cup, entered the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League's second qualifying round. Eyüpspor Kulübü, known as ikas Eyüpspor due to sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional football club located in the Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul. Their colours are lavender and yellow.
