Marko Mert Matić (born 22 May 1995) is a Turkish volleyball player of Bosnian origin who plays for Halkbank and the Turkish national team. He participated in the 2017 Men's European Volleyball Championship and 2021 Men's European Volleyball Championship. Personal life He is married with former national taekwondo athlete İrem Yaman since 2 September 2024. Halkbank Ankara is a professional men's volleyball team based in Ankara, Turkey and sponsored by the state-owned Halkbank. The BVA Cup ( Balkan Volleyball Association Cup) is a volleyball competition contested by the respective national volleyball championship winning teams of nations in the Balkans. The tournament was founded in 2008 under the auspices of the Balkan Volleyball Association. The founders of the Balkan Volleyball Association are the volleyball federations of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Turkey. CEV Champions League
The CEV Champions League is the top official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition is organised every year by the European Volleyball Confederation. Formula (2018–19 to present) Qualification A total of 20 teams participate in the main competition, with 18 teams being allocated direct vacancies on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions, and 2 teams from the qualification rounds. League round 20 teams take part in the League round where they are split into 5 groups. The Turkish Men's Volleyball Cup () is a national cup competition for professional men's volleyball teams in Turkey, organised by the Turkish Volleyball Federation since the 1988–89 season. Between 2003 and 2007, the tournament was not held for four consecutive seasons. Most successful team of the competition are Halkbank with seven titles.
