Mersin İdman Yurdu was a Turkish sports club from Mersin, Turkey in the eastern Mediterranean Region. The team played in the Turkish first division for 15 seasons, and after the 1983–84 season the football team played in the Turkish second and third divisions. The team was promoted to the Turkish second level division after the 2008–09 season. MİY became the champions of the Turkish second division during the 2010–11 season and earned promotion to the Turkish Süper Lig during the 2011–12 Süper Lig, 2011–12 season. Mersin Arena
The Mersin Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Mersin, Turkey. Completed in 2013, it was the new home ground for Mersin İdman Yurdu, replacing the old Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadium. It hosted the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2013 Mediterranean Games. The all-seater stadium has the capacity to host 25,534 spectators during football games. Abdul Jabbar (footballer)
Abdul Jabbar (; 1945 – 25 March 2014), was a Pakistani professional footballer who played as a forward. Jabbar played as an inside left forward. He represented the Pakistan national football team from 1967 to 1969, and is one of the first and few Pakistani footballers to play professional football abroad, joining a club in Turkey. Early life Jabbar was born in 1945 in Shah Baig Line, in the Lyari locality of Karachi. Maula Bakhsh Gotai (; 1947 – 30 August 2021), alternatively spelled Maula Bux, was a Pakistani professional footballer who played as a forward. Bakhsh represented the Pakistan national team from 1964 to 1974, and captained the national team in 1973. He was also one of the first and few Pakistani footballers to play professional football abroad, in Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), also known as Trendyol Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Turkey and the highest level of the Turkish football league system. Mersin İdmanyurdu (also ''Mersin İdman Yurdu'', ''Mersin İY'', or ''MİY'') Sports Club; located in Mersin, east Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 1967–68. Prime Minister's Cup (Turkey)
The Prime Minister's Cup () was a association football, football competition organised by the Turkish Football Federation in Turkey. It began in 1944 and continued until 1950 as a unique kind of super cup competition between the winners of the Turkish Football Championship and the Turkish National Division. It was one of the earliest super cups in the world.
