Turkish Women's Basketball League
The Turkish Women's Basketball League (, TKBL), is Turkish basketball league system, the second-tier level women's professional basketball division of the Turkish women's basketball league system. The league was established in 1980 and is organized by the Turkish Basketball Federation. Format The league has 16 teams. Each team plays others in their group twice during the regular season. The team that finishes in first place promotion and relegation, promotes to the Turkish basketball league system, top-tier level Women's Basketball Super League (KBSL) for the next season.Teams ranked 2nd to 9th compete in a playoff format and the winner of the playoff also promotes. Edip Buran Arena
The Edip Buran Arena (), formerly Yenişehir Belediyesi Sports Hall (), is a multi-sport indoor arena at Yenişehir district of Mersin, Turkey. Built in 1971, it is owned by the Youth Services and Sports Directoriate of Mersin. The sports hall has a seating capacity of 1,750. It was renovated for the 2013 Mediterranean Games, and the new sports hall went on January 20, 2013, in service. The venue is suitable for events of basketball, fencing, gymnastics, handball, judo, karate, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, wrestling etc. With the promotion of Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyesi men's basketball team's to Turkish Basketball League in the 2005–06 season, the sports hall became a basketball league venue. Servet Tazegül Arena
The Servet Tazegül Arena () is a multi-purpose indoor arena located at Yenişehir district of Mersin, Turkey, named in honor of the Olympic, world and European champion taekwondo practitioner Servet Tazegül (born 1988). The construction of the building began on 20 January 2012 with the laying of foundation stone. The arena is one of the eleven new-built sports venues in Mersin to host the 2013 Mediterranean Games. With its seating capacity of 7,500, it is one of the biggest indoor arenas in Turkey. The 2013 Mediterranean Games (), officially known as the XVII Mediterranean Games () and commonly known as Mersin 2013, was an international multi-sport event held from 20 to 30 June 2013 in Mersin, Turkey.
