Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK ('' English: Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club''), also known simply as Mersin BB, was a professional basketball team based in the city of Mersin in Turkey. Their home arena was the Edip Buran Arena with a capacity of 1,750 seats. The team played in the Turkish Basketball First League (TBL) before it dissolved in 2018. History Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyesi was founded in 1993. The team was promoted to the Turkish Basketball League from the Turkish Second Basketball League for the 2005–06 season. After spending nine years in the top league, the team was relegated to the TB2L following the 2013–14 season. Following the 2017–18 season, the team ceased operations. Predrag Samardžiski (; born April 11, 1986) is a former Macedonian professional basketball player. Professional career Samardžiski started his career at KK Partizan in the 2004–05 season. He then played with KK FMP for five years (2005–2010). In August 2010, he signed for Olin Edirne of Turkey. In May 2011 he signed with BC Lietuvos rytas in Lithuania. Hakkı Harun Erdenay (born 27 May 1968 in Ankara) (nickname: "Pegasus") is a Turkish former professional basketball player, and he is a Vice President of the Turkish Basketball Federation. The 2014–15 TB2L season was the 45th season of the basketball Turkish Basketball First League, Turkish Second Division. There are a total of 18 teams participating in the league for the season. Each team play each other in their group twice during the regular season.
