''Mentira (Lie)'' is a song composed by Chilean Buddy Richard in 1982 and was a huge international hit for Nicaraguan singer, songwriter and composer Hernaldo Zúñiga and, almost simultaneously, it also meant a major success for Argentinian Valeria Lynch. Hernaldo Zúñiga
Hernaldo Zúñiga (born June 2, 1955) is a Nicaraguan singer-songwriter. He was born in Managua, but spent his childhood and adolescence in Masaya. Career While he was studying in Chile, in 1973, Zúñiga recorded his first 45 rpm single with "Producciones Caracol", including as one side the David Gates' song " Everything I Own". At 17, during his first year of law school, he composed his first song, "Ventanillas" ("Little Windows"). In February 1974, he performed in the XV Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar. In October of that year, he obtained seventh place in the third edition of the OTI Festival, celebrated in Acapulco, Mexico, singing the song "Gaviota" ("Seagull"), which meant the first participation of Nicaragua in this Festival. Iva Zanicchi
Iva Zanicchi (; born 18 January 1940) is an Italian pop singer and politician. She has a mezzo-soprano voice and is nick-named by the press as the "Eagle from Ligonchio" (). Biography Iva Zanicchi was born in Ligonchio, in the province of Reggio Emilia, to Zefiro Zanicchi (1909–2004) and Elsa Raffaelli (1914–2010). Her career began in 1962 at the Castrocaro Music Festival, where she earned third place.
