Memorijal Hakija Turajlić
Memorijal Hakija Turajlić is a boxing tournament named in honor of Hakija Turajlić, a former Bosnian politician, economist and businessman who was assassinated in 1993 during the Bosnian War. The first Memorijal Hakija Turajlić was held in 1994, during the Siege of Sarajevo, and since then more than 500 boxers from 30 countries have participated in the tournament. From 1998. until 2008. it was one of strongest amateur boxing tournaments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Boxing
Boxing is a combat sport and martial art. Taking place in a boxing ring, it involves two people – usually wearing protective equipment, such as boxing glove, protective gloves, hand wraps, and mouthguards – throwing Punch (combat), punches at each other for a predetermined amount of time. Marko Tomasović (born November 10, 1981) is a Croatian Boxer and Kickboxer, best known for qualifying for the 2008 Summer Olympics at Super heavyweight. He is tall and weights . Arnold Gjergjaj
Arnold Gjergjaj (born 8 October 1984) is a Swiss professional boxer. In 2014 he won the EBU-EE version of the European heavyweight title, becoming the first boxer fighting under a Swiss license to do so. Boxing career Gjergjaj began as a wrestler from a young age and later moved to kickboxing before taking up boxing. A three-time Swiss amateur champion, he turned professional at the age of 25 and made his debut in 2009. For the majority of his career he has fought low level opposition in Switzerland, building up an undefeated record of 29-0 with 21 knockouts. José Kelvin de la Nieve Linares (born 28 August 1986) is a boxer. Born in the Dominican Republic, he represents Spain internationally. He competed in the light flyweight weight class at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. He became a Spanish citizen in 2000 and is based out of Huelva. Dejan Zavec (born 13 March 1976), best known as Jan Zaveck, is a Slovenian former professional boxer who competed from 2003 to 2015. He held the IBF welterweight title from 2009 to 2011, and challenged once for the WBA super-welterweight title in 2015. Darren O'Neill (born 13 September 1985) is an Irish amateur boxer. He won a gold medal at the 2009 EU Championships, and silver at the 2010 European Championships and 2014 EU Championships. He also captained Ireland's boxers at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
