Melvin Frazier Jr.
Melvin Jamon Frazier Jr. (born August 30, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for Al-Ahly Ly of the Libyan Division I Basketball League (LBL) and the Basketball Africa League (BAL). He played college basketball for the Tulane Green Wave. Early life Frazier attended L. W. Higgins High School. He played AAU basketball for Team NOLA and Wings Elite, where he was a defensive force but secondary scorer to Marlain Veal. Frazier was ranked the fourth best prospect in Louisiana by The Times-Picayune as a senior. He chose Tulane over offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. College career Frazier was coach Ed Conroy's highest-rated recruit but had a relatively quiet freshman season, averaging 5.2 points per game. The 2023–24 NBA G League season was the 23rd season of the NBA G League, the minor league basketball league of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Structure The Showcase Cup started in November 2023 and concluded with a single-elimination tournament to crown a champion at the G League Winter Showcase in December. During the Showcase Cup, teams were separated into four regional pods and played 16 games against one another in each of the respective NBA G League markets. Mike Dunleavy Sr
Michael Joseph Dunleavy Sr. (born March 21, 1954) is an American former professional basketball player, coach, and former general manager of the National Basketball Association's Los Angeles Clippers. He was most recently the head coach of the Tulane University men's basketball team. Dunleavy is the father of former professional basketball player Mike Dunleavy Jr. Early life Dunleavy was born in Brooklyn, New York. His primary education was at Holy Cross. He attended Nazareth Regional High School in Brooklyn, then graduated from the University of South Carolina, where he played under coach Frank McGuire. Edward S. Conroy (born February 17, 1967) is an American college basketball coach who is currently serving his second stint as the head coach of The Citadel Bulldogs. Career Conroy previously served as the associate head coach for the Vanderbilt Commodores and as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Conroy is a former head men's basketball coach at Tulane University, being hired in April 2010. Conroy was officially relieved of his duties as Tulane head coach on March 14, 2016. Before joining Tulane, he coached four seasons at The Citadel and three seasons at Francis Marion University. Conroy announced his return to The Citadel on March 23, 2022. The Basketball Africa League (BAL) is the premier men's basketball league in Africa. Founded in 2019, the league was established and is co-organized by NBA Africa and the FIBA, International Basketball Federation (FIBA). Each season typically runs from March to June, and in the current format of the league consists of twelve teams. Each of the teams qualify through their performance in their domestic competition.
