Melløs Stadion
Melløs Stadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Melløs borough in Moss, Norway. It is currently used mostly for football contests and is the home stadium of Moss FK. The stadium has a capacity of 4,117 people and was opened in 1939. The current attendance record is 10,085 people in a neighbor derby against Fredrikstad FK in 2003. The stadium was used for the 1997 UEFA Women's Championship. The venue has hosted Norway national under-21 football team matches twice, playing 0–0 against Belgium on 11 September 1979 and 0–2 against Denmark on 22 August 2007. Melløs Stadion is also used for athletics. Moss FK
Moss Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club, founded on 28 August 1906. They play in the 1. divisjon, the second highest division in the Norwegian football league system. They played in the Norwegian top flight between 1937–1939, 1953–54, 1977–1985 (9 seasons), 1987–1990 (4 seasons), 1996 and 1998–2002. The club came close to earning promotion to the top flight in 2005, but lost the play-off against Molde. Stadium Moss play their home games at Melløs stadion, which has a capacity of around 10,000. Because of national rules of professional license for top clubs in Norway, the stadium has only been certified for 3200 spectators. Built in 1939, it has remained the club's home ground ever since. The record attendance is 10,085, set in 2003 against rivals Fredrikstad. A higher attendance may have been achieved in 1976 in a match against Odd, but no precise figure exists for this match because the gates broke down after around 9500 spectators had shown up. Rygge was a municipality in Østfold county, Norway. It was merged into Moss municipality on 1 January 2020. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Rygge. Rygge was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The emblem of Rygge is the Pasque flower. Rygge is connected to Oslo by double-tracked railway, and four-lane freeway. Rygge was served by Moss Airport, which has not been operational since 2016.
