A prefecture-level city () or prefectural city is an administrative division of the People's Republic of China (PRC), ranking below a province and above a county in China's administrative structure. Yangzhou, postal romanization Yangchow, is a prefecture-level city in central Jiangsu Province (Suzhong), East China. Sitting on the north bank of the Yangtze, it borders the provincial capital Nanjing to the southwest, Huai'an to the north, Yancheng to the northeast, Taizhou to the east, and Zhenjiang across the river to the south. Hanjiang District, Yangzhou
District () is one of three districts of Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, China. It is one of the two districts (along with Hanjiang District) that divide Yangzhou's main urban area. It includes roughly the western half of Yangzhou's central city (excluding, however, the historic center, which is in Hanjiang District), and adjacent suburbs. The Yangtze River and, in the northern suburbs, the Grand Canal of China, serve as the district's southern and eastern borders.
