Mehman () is a lake in Azerbaijan located in the northern part of the Mil plain on the territory of the Aghjabadi Aghjabadi () is a city in and the capital of the Aghjabadi District of Azerbaijan. The maximum depth is 1.5 m, while on 85% of the lake area, the depth is 0.5 - 0.7 m. Aghjabadi District
Aghjabadi District () is one of the 66 districts of Azerbaijan. It is located in the centre of the country and belongs to the Karabakh Economic Region. The district borders the districts of Khojavend, Agdam, Barda, Zardab, Beylagan, and Fuzuli. Its capital and largest city is Aghjabadi. As of 2020, the district had a population of 136,800. History Aghjabadi district was established on 8 August 1930. It was abolished and attached to the Aghdam District in 1963. Two years later, it was re-established as an independent district. "Aghjabadi" means "large settlement" ("aghja" – large, "badi" – residence, settlement) in Azerbaijani. Beylagan District
Beylagan District () is one of the 67 districts of Azerbaijan. It is located in the centre of the country and belongs to the Mil-Mughan Economic Region. It borders the districts of Fuzuli, Aghjabadi, Zardab, Imishli, and the Ardabil Province of Iran. Its capital and largest city is Beylagan. As of 2020, the district had a population of 99,500. Etymology The name Beylagan historically used in different forms particularly, Paytakaran, Balasakan, Bilgan, Millar and Beylagan. A number of considerations are associated with the toponymy of Beylagan. Kura (South Caucasus River)
The Kura, also known in Georgian as Mtkvari ( ), is an east-flowing transboundary river south of the Greater Caucasus Mountains which drains the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus east into the Caspian Sea. It also drains the north side of the Lesser Caucasus, while its main tributary, the Aras, drains the south side of those mountains. Starting in northeastern Turkey, the Kura flows through to Georgia, then into Azerbaijan, where it receives the Aras as a right tributary, and finally enters the Caspian Sea.
