Megasztár
''Megasztár – Voice of the Year'' is a Hungarian music talent show that started in 2003 on TV2. While it is widely considered an unlicensed clone of the British television show ''Pop Idol'' (and sometimes even referred to as ''Hungarian Idol''), TV2 maintains that it is a distinct format created by SBS management member Christoph Buerge. The sixth season was the last, because TV2 bought the license of '' The Voice''. On 21 February 2024, TV2 announced that after 12 years, Megasztár would return to the screen with a new season. Impact The show is notable for not only stirring up but, in the end, radically changing the pop music world in the Hungary of the 2000s, often criticized due to the lack of original talent that ''Megasztár'' set out to find. Nguyen Thanh Hien
Nguyễn Thanh Hiền or simply Hien (born 6 March 1994) is a Hungarian pop singer of Vietnamese descent who competed in the Hungarian Megasztár sixth season and was the fifth runner up. Biography Hien attended school between 2000 and 2006 at Sopron's at the ''Lackner Kristóf Elementary School,'' where besides traditional subjects she studied the violin, piano and singing lessons. Between 2006 and 2009, she was a student in the Sopron's Széchenyi István Secondary School. After her family moved to Budapest, she attended the Trefort Ágoston Secondary School. Renáta Tolvai
Renáta Tímea "Reni" Tolvai (born 24 March 1991) is a Romanian-Hungarian singer, dancer, and model. She first came to prominence in 2010 after winning the fifth season of the Hungarian show ''Megasztár''. She has gone on to win multiple awards in Hungary, and took part in ''A Dal'' in 2012, 2016, and 2018. Early life Reni was born as Renáta Tímea Tolvai on 24 March 1991 into the Hungarian minority in Oradea, Romania. Music career In 2010, she was only 19 when besides winning the Hungarian Idol she also became the Hungarian Voice of the Year. Viktor Király
Dov Viktor Király (born March 29, 1984) is a Hungarian singer and songwriter. In 2006, he was part of the Hungarian band Twinz with his twin brother Benjamin. In 2008, he became the fourth winner of the Hungarian music competition ''Megasztár''. He is the younger brother of the Hungarian pop singer Linda Király. Gabriella Tóth (born 17 January 1988), also known as Gabi Tóth or Kárpátok Madonnája (''Madonna of the Carpathians''), is a Hungarian singer, dancer and media personality. Ferenc Molnár (born 1 February 1982, Szolnok), known by the stage name Caramel, is a Hungarian singer. He is most well known for winning the second season of Megasztár. Personal life Caramel was born on 1 February 1982 in the town of Szolnok. He is of Hungarian Roma descent. At age 16, he moved to Törökszentmiklós with his stepfather, mother and siblings. Attila Kökény (born 20 April 1975, Budapest) is a Hungarian singer, most notable for coming second in the fifth season of Megasztár and for his participation in A Dal. TV2 (TV Kettő) is a Hungarian free-to-air television channel operating since 4 October 1997, providing a large variety of programming. It is a competitor with RTL for the first place in Hungarian television ratings. Ibolya Oláh (born 31 January 1978) is a Hungarian pop singer. She was the runner-up of the first series of Hungarian television singing competition series ''Megasztár''.
