Meg Wade
Margaret "Meg" Wade (born 15 September 1961 in Sydney) is an Australian equestrian and endurance champion, the youngest daughter of electrical engineering manufacturer William Glenn Wade and nursing sister Betty Alice Mitchell. Her maternal grandfather, Walter Steadford Mitchell served in the 11th Light Horse regiment during World War I. Equestrian career Meg Wade was the first person to win, four times, the Southern Hemisphere’s premier 100 mile (160 km) endurance race, the Tom Quilty Gold Gup. Meg Wade grew up on her parents farm at Wallacia, New South Wales and began riding at an early age, competing at local pony clubs and shows. She was educated at Presbyterian Ladies' College, Sydney, and at Hawkesbury Agricultural College and later qualified as a helicopter pilot. Canberra Hospital is a major tertiary public hospital located in Garran, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. It is the largest hospital in the region with 672 beds catering to a population of about 550,000. Philippa Jane "Pip" Courtney is an Australian journalist and television presenter. She is known for her work as a reporter and host of the ABC series ''Landline''. Acquired brain injury (ABI) is brain damage caused by events after birth, rather than as part of a genetic or congenital disorder such as fetal alcohol syndrome, perinatal illness or perinatal hypoxia. Tumbarumba ( ) is a small town in New South Wales, Australia, about southwest of the state capital, Sydney. Tumbarumba is located on the periphery of the Riverina and South West Slopes regions at the western edge of the Snowy Mountains.
