Medford Area Senior High School (known as MASH) is a public secondary school located in Medford, Wisconsin. MASH is the only high school in the Medford Area Public School District. History The current high school building was built in 1968. The high school formerly occupied the old middle school building on Clark Street. The current building includes a gymnasium known locally as "Raider Hall", an auditorium known locally as the "Red and White Theatre", and a swimming pool known as "Raider Pool". Great Northern Conference
The Great Northern Conference is a high school athletic conference based in north central Wisconsin. Founded in 2008, the conference and its member schools belong to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. History The Great Northern Conference was formed in 2008 by seven medium-sized high schools in north central Wisconsin. Four of its original members ( Lakeland Union, Medford, Northland Pines and Tomahawk) were previously members of the Lumberjack Conference, which had disbanded the year prior. Two schools joined from the Wisconsin Valley Conference ( Antigo and Merrill) and Mosinee moved over from the Cloverbelt Conference. For Antigo and Merrill, this move grouped them with schools more in line with their enrollment size instead of being two of the smallest schools in their former conference. Rhinelander High School
Rhinelander High School (RHS) is a high school in Rhinelander, Oneida County, Wisconsin, United States. History The first Rhinelander High School was built in 1889. It was named Rhinelander Union High School (RUHS) and the building was commonly known as Old Central. It stood on what is now Saroca Park. When the school began it had just two teachers and fewer than 80 students. By 1912, attendance had grown to over 215 students. The school was demolished to accommodate increased enrollment. The new high school, known as Rhinelander High School today, had its first graduation on June 4, 1959, with a class of over 200 seniors.
