Mecha Builders
''Mecha Builders'' (also known as ''Sesame Street Mecha Builders'') is a computer-animated children's television series and a spin-off of ''Sesame Street'', that began production in May 2020. The series is co-produced by the United States organization Sesame Workshop and Canadian animation producer Guru Studio, which is known for ''PAW Patrol'' and ''True and the Rainbow Kingdom''. The project was announced in October 2019. Visual development was started remotely, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The series intended to add 80 staff as it entered production. The first episode premiered as a sneak peek on April 30, 2022 on Cartoon Network within its Cartoonito pre-school block, before officially premiering on May 9, 2022. The series is also available on the streaming service HBO Max. A sneak peek of the first episode was released on April 26, 2022. ''True and the Rainbow Kingdom'' is an animated children's web series produced by Home Plate Entertainment and Guru Studio in collaboration with American artist duo FriendsWithYou and Pharrell Williams' I Am Other. Based on the artwork by FriendsWithYou, it aired on CBC Television in Canada, WIPR-TV in Puerto Rico and Netflix in the United States and internationally. Treehouse TV is a Canadian English-language specialty channel for preschoolers aged 2 to 5 that was launched in 1997. Its name comes from YTV's former preschool block, "The Treehouse". The channel is owned by YTV Canada, Inc., a subsidiary of Corus Entertainment. Development of a separate channel started when YTV aired preschool shows as part of its weekday morning lineup. Matthew James Vogel (born October 6, 1970) is an American puppeteer, actor and director. Vogel has worked for Sesame Workshop and The Muppets Studio. He has performed for the Muppets, ''Sesame Street'', and '' Oobi''. He has been the performer of Kermit the Frog since 2017 and the full-time performer of Big Bird since 2018. Career Vogel first auditioned for the Jim Henson Company in 1993 and joined the crew of ''Sesame Street'' in 1996 as an ensemble puppeteer. Cookie Monster is a blue Muppet character on the long-running PBS/ HBO children's television show ''Sesame Street.'' In a song in 2004, and later in an interview in 2017, Cookie Monster revealed his real name as "Sid". He is best known for his voracious appetite and his famous eating catchphrases, such as "Me want cookie!" As his name suggests, his preferred food is cookies; though he eats almost anything, including inedible objects. Chocolate chip cookies are his favorite kind.
