Geography McKinley is a rural community in Oscoda County in Northern Michigan about directly east of Grayling. The community is located in northeast Mentor Township and sits at an elevation of above the sea level. F-32 (McKinley Road) is a county highway and main roadway through the community, and it connects to M-33/ M-72 (South Mount Tom Road) about to the west in the community of Mio. M-72 (Michigan Highway)
M-72 is a state trunkline highway in the US state of Michigan, running from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan across the northern part of the Lower Peninsula. The highway connects M-22 in Empire with US Highway 23 (US 23) in Harrisville. It is one of only three Michigan state trunklines that cross the Lower Peninsula, shore to shore. In between, M-72 runs across Northern Michigan woodland, agricultural areas of the Leelanau Peninsula near Traverse City, and the Au Sable River watershed. The trunkline also provides access to Camp Grayling, a National Guard training facility near the city of the same name. Traffic levels along the highway vary from approximately 800 vehicles a day on the east end to over 32,000 vehicles near Traverse City. Mio Dam
Mio Dam is a hydro-electric dam located on the Au Sable River in Michigan capable of generating 4.96 MW of electric power. It was the 4th of 6 dams built by Consumers Power between 1906 and 1924 along the Au Sable River and is the furthest upstream of the six. The dam was completed in 1916. The Mio Hydroelectric Plant consists of an embankment on each side connected by a spillway. Located North of the spillway is the powerhouse and outdoor substation. Public access to Mio Pond is provided via a boat ramp maintained by Consumers Energy, and portage facilities are also provided allowing canoes and kayaks access to bypass the dam. Portage the dam on the right using the cement stairs then carry down a gravel road with a canoe slide on the down river side of the dam. Huron–Manistee National Forests

Rose City, Michigan
Rose City is a city in Ogemaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 653 at the 2010 census, which ranks it as the seventh-smallest city by population in the state. History Churchill was the original name of this lumbering town, which was located from its present location. Hiram Hodge was the first resident of the community. He built a hotel, but later left the area. The Rose family, including Allan S. Rose, his father and two brothers, came from New York State in 1875. Allan S. Rose formed a partnership with M.H. Geography Curran is centered along the concurrency of M-65 and M-72, which is referred to locally as North Curran Road. The community is in Northern Michigan within Mitchell Township in western Alcona County, which is about northwest of the community of Oscoda. Curran sits at an elevation of above sea level.
