''Mañana'' (meaning ''Morning'' in Spanish) was the regional mouthpiece of the Catalan Federation of the Syndicalist Party in Catalonia, Spain. It was published daily from Barcelona. The paper was published between 1937 and 1939. Together with ''El Sindicalista'', it was the most prominent publication of the party. It was printed at the printing shop that had previously issued '. Syndicalist Party
The Syndicalist Party (; ) was a left-wing political party in Spain, formed by Ángel Pestaña in 1932. Pestaña, a leading member of the Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT) trade union, formed the party in response to the growing influence of the Iberian Anarchist Federation over the CNT. He and other notable members of the CNT had previously signed a ("Manifesto of the Thirty"), which had got them expelled. The thesis of Ángel Pestaña was to contribute to the workers' movement by endowing it with a political party which, without interfering in their work, collaborated with the industrial unions, but with full autonomy. It differed from the PSOE- UGT pact in that it intended to avoid all subordination of union work to partisan political interests. Ángel Pestaña Nuñez (1886–1937) was a Spanish Anarcho-syndicalism, anarcho-syndicalist General Secretary of the Confederación Nacional del Trabajo, general secretary of the Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT), founder of the Syndicalist Party and member of the Cortes Generales. Life Early years He was born in Santo Tomás de las Ollas near Ponferrada, Castile and León, León in a poor family. When he was 14 years old he was left orphan by both parents and from then on, he had to survive on his own. When he was 15, he was arrested for participation in a conference for the establishment of the Eight-hour day, 8-hour working day. After this event he stayed for some time in northern Spain and southern France and ended up in Algiers, where he worked as watch maker.
