Maximilian Maeder
Maximilian Maeder (born 12 September 2006) is a Singaporean Formula Kite professional athlete. He is the reigning Formula Kite World, Asiad, Asian and European champion. He holds the distinction of being the youngest winner in any Olympic sailing class competition, achieving this at the age of 16. Maeder competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the inaugural Sailing at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Men's Formula Kite, Men's Formula Kite event, where he reached the finals and won the bronze medal, becoming the country's second wikt:native-born, native-born Olympic medalist. Maeder is also a three-time youth world sailing champion in consecutive years from 2021 to 2023 and won various open championships across Europe, Asia and Pan America. Riccardo Pianosi
Riccardo Pianosi (born 1 March 2005) is an Italian kitesurfer who competes in the Formula Kite category. He won two medals in the Formula Kite World Championship, in 2021 and 2024, and two medals in the Formula Kite European Championship, in 2023 and 2024. Early life Riccardo Pianosi was born on 1 March 2005 in Pesaro, Marche. Career Pianosi took part in the 2021 Formula Kite World Championships, where he won the bronze medal. The International Kiteboarding Association (IKA), is the only kiteboarding class inside the International Sailing Federation (ISAF). The IKA class rules fall in the category of a development class. Kiteboarding or kitesurfing is a sport that involves using wind power with a large power kite to pull a rider across a water, land, or snow surface. It combines aspects of paragliding, surfing, windsurfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and wakeboarding. Kiteboarding is among the less expensive and the more convenient sailing sports.
