Mauro Forghieri
Mauro Forghieri (13 January 1935 – 2 November 2022) was an Italian mechanical engineer, best known for his work as a Formula One racing car designer with Scuderia Ferrari during the 1960s and 1970s. He is credited with introducing the first designed rear wings to Formula One at the 1968 Belgian Grand Prix. He oversaw numerous technical developments during his tenure at Ferrari, including the creation of the Ferrari 250 GTO, 250 GTO and Ferrari P, P-series sports racing cars, the Ferrari flat-12 engine, Ferrari flat-12 series of engines, Ferrari's first turbocharged engine in the Ferrari 126C, 126 C F1 car, and a prototype semi-automatic transmission in 1979. Modena
Modena (, ; ; ; ; ) is a city and ''comune'' (municipality) on the south side of the Po Valley, in the Province of Modena, in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. It has 184,739 inhabitants as of 2025. Ansaldo was one of Italy's oldest and most important engineering companies, existing for 140 years from 1853 to 1993. History 19th century foundation The company was founded in 1853 as Gio. Luigi (; ) is a character created by Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. Part of Nintendo's ''Mario'' franchise, he is a kind-hearted, cowardly Italian plumber, and the younger fraternal twin brother and sidekick of Mario. Like his brother, Luigi's distinctive characteristics include his large nose and mustache, overalls, green hat, and high-pitched, exaggerated Italian accent. Carlo Chiti
Carlo Chiti (19 December 1924 – 7 July 1994) was an Italian racing car and engine designer best known for his long association with Alfa Romeo's racing department. He also worked for Scuderia Ferrari, Ferrari and was involved in the design of the Ferrari 156 F1, Ferrari 156 Sharknose car, with which Phil Hill won the 1961 Formula One season, 1961 championship. Vittorio Jano
Vittorio Jano (; 22 April 1891 – 13 March 1965) was an Italian automobile designer of Hungarian descent from the 1920s through 1960s. Jano was born ''Viktor János'' in San Giorgio Canavese, in Piedmont, to Hungarian immigrants, who arrived there several years earlier. He began at the car and truck company Società Torinese Automobili Rapid owned by G.B. Ceirano. In 1911 he moved to Fiat under Luigi Bazzi. With Alfa Romeo He moved with Bazzi to Alfa Romeo in 1923 to replace Giuseppe Merosi as chief engineer.
