Mauro Prosperi
Mauro Prosperi (born 13 July 1955) is an Italian former police officer and pentathlete, most notable for his nine-day disappearance and survival in the Sahara, whilst competing in the 1994 Marathon des Sables (Marathon of the Sands) in Morocco. Early life Prosperi was born in the Italian capital city of Rome on 13 July 1955. One year prior to graduating from his secondary school, a liceo artistico (an Italian secondary school focused on the study of art subjects) in 1974, Prosperi began working for the Polizia di Stato (the national police force of Italy) as a crowd-control police officer. Prosperi met his wife Cinzia Pagliara at a pre- Olympic pentathlon event, where Pagliara was working as an English- and Russian- language interpreter. In an interview with Netflix in 2019, Pagliara noted that she admired Prosperi's positivity and enthusiasm towards overcoming challenges and obstacles at the event. Mauro Zárate
Mauro Matías Zárate (; born 13 March 1987) is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as a forward. Zárate started his career with Vélez Sarsfield in his native country, playing three years for the team and winning the Primera División title in the 2005 Clausura tournament. He later signed for Qatari side Al-Sadd in 2007, where he played only six months before transferring on loan to Birmingham City in England. However, after Birmingham's relegation, Zárate was loaned out again, this time to Lazio in Italy, where he won the Coppa Italia. His move to Lazio was then made permanent for a fee of around €20 million, with a €60 million buy-out clause. Mauro da Silva Gomes (; born 12 January 1968), known as Mauro Silva, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. A hard-working player with great stamina, as well as tackling and leadership skills, he was best known for his spell with Deportivo. Mauro Scocco (born 11 September 1962) is a Swedish pop musician of Italian descent. He has been described as "one of the sharpest songwriters in Sweden". Scocco was the singer for the pop group Ratata (1980–83) transformed into a duo with Johan Ekelund (1983–89). After Ratata, Scocco has continued as a solo artist since. Mauro Scoccimarro (30 October 1895 – 2 January 1972) was an Italian economist and communist politician. He was one of the founders of the Italian Communist Party and served as the minister of finance between 1945 and 1947. Early life and education Scoccimarro was born in Udine on 30 October 1895. His father was of Apulian origin and an employee of the railways. Scoccimarro graduated from Zanon Technical Institute in Udine in October 1913. He attended Ca' Foscari University of Venice and graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics and political science in 1922. Mauro Damián Rosales (born 24 February 1981) is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Best known for his pace and crossing ability, he won a gold medal with Argentina at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Club career Rosales began his career with Newell's Old Boys.
