Mauricio Gómez
Mauricio Alejandro Gómez Rios (born March 5, 1989) is a Chilean former footballer who played as a striker. Club career Gómez nickname is "Hormona" because on his youth squads he was usually taller than his teammates. He came through the youth system of Universidad de Chile, being the top scorer at most levels. His professional debut came in the 2006 Clausura tournament against Cobreloa, in which he scored. Since his debut he has not seen much playing time. He also received some criticism from Universidad de Chile's former coach Arturo Salah. For Apertura 2010 Tournament he will play for Universidad de Concepción of Chile, on loan for 1 year. International career Gómez represented Chile U20 in the 2009 South American Championship, scoring 3 goals. In addition, he took part of the Chile U21 squad that won the 2009 Toulon Tournament. Laja, Chile
Laja is a city and commune located in the Bío Bío Province of the Bío Bío Region of Chile. The city of Laja is the communal capital. Geography It is bounded on the north by the Laja River, on the west by the Biobío river, and the south and the east by the commune of Los Ángeles. Demographics According to the 2002 census of the National Statistics Institute, Laja spans an area of and has 22,404 inhabitants (11,113 men and 11,291 women). Of these, 16,288 (72.7%) lived in urban areas and 6,116 (27.3%) in rural areas. The population fell by 8% (1946 persons) between the 1992 and 2002 censuses. The Maurice Revello Tournament (officially French: the ''Festival International "Espoirs" – Tournoi Maurice Revello''), previously known as the Toulon Tournament, is a Association football, football tournament, which traditionally features invited national teams composed of youth players from U-17 to U-23 level. Although the first tournament in 1967 featured club teams, it has been limited to national teams since 1975 (except in 1986 and 1989 when INF Vichy was invited). 2009 Torneo Apertura (Chile)
The 2009 Campeonato Nacional de Apertura Copa Banco Estado was the 85th season of top-tier football in Chile. The tournament champion was Universidad de Chile, so that earned their 13th league title after a five-year winless, after winning over Unión Española on points, in the finals, that allowed the automatically qualification of the university team to the 2010 Copa Libertadores Second Stage. After the relegations of Deportes Melipilla, Provincial Osorno and Deportes Concepción (because administration problems), the number of teams that contested the tournament was reduced from 20 to 18, following the promotion of Curicó Unido, which made their first top-flight appearance in 35 years.
