Matúš Bero (born 6 September 1995) is a Slovak professional Association football, footballer who plays as a midfielder for German club VfL Bochum and the Slovakia national football team, Slovakia national team. Club career AS Trenčín Bero began his professional career at AS Trenčín, where he went through all the youth categories, playing as a defender. Bero debuted for the senior side on 21 July 2013 in the Corgoň Liga match against FC Spartak Trnava, Spartak Trnava, where his club lost 1-2. During the 2014–15 Slovak First Football League, Bero won the Slovak Football Cup with AS Trenčín in the final against FK Senica, where the match was decided in a penalty shootout. He also became the champion of the Fortuna Liga and celebrated winning a double. Irvin Leigh Matus
Irvin Leigh Matus (July 25, 1941 – January 5, 2011) was an independent scholar, autodidact, and author. He is best known as an authority on Shakespeare, but also wrote about aspects of Brooklyn's history such as the Vitagraph Studios, and developed a method of modelling baseball statistics. He was a scholar-in-residence at Shepherd University for the academic year 1992–1993. He was based in Washington, DC. Early life Matus's father was manager of the Western Union office in Times Square. The late congressman Stephen J. Solarz was his cousin. Alejandra Matus Acuña (San Antonio, January 11, 1966) is a Chilean journalist and writer recognized for her disclosure of human rights abuses that occurred during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. While working at the defunct Chilean newspaper , she covered news on the judicial branch of Chile. This work inspired the investigation that she would later publish in . The available copies of the book were confiscated one day before the planned release and Matus was accused of contempt by , minister of the Supreme Court of Chile, in violation of State Security law. This prompted Matus to seek political asylum in the United States. The case led to the ''desacato'' article to be removed from the law with the new Ley de Prensa (Press Law) that was signed on May 25, 2001, which allowed Matus to return to Chile. Matúš Vallo (born 18 September 1977) is a Slovak politician, architect, urban activist, musician, and the current Mayor of Bratislava. He was elected in 2018 with 36.5% of the vote as an independent politician, and re-elected in 2022 with 60.2% of the vote backed by his own local party Team Bratislava as well as Sloboda a Solidarita and Progresívne Slovensko. Matúš Tomko (born 4 February 1978) is a Slovak opera singer (bass). He studied opera singing at the Church Conservatory in Bratislava, Slovakia (1998–2004) with František Malatinec.
