Matúš Chovan (born 14 February 1992) is a Slovak ice hockey player who is currently playing for the HC 19 Humenné of the Slovak 1. Liga. Career Chovan was playing junior ice hockey for his hometown club HC Košice. He made his Extraliga debut in the 2010–11 season. He was a member of the HK Orange 20 project for which played 21 games and earned 5 points. IIHF World U20 Championship
The IIHF World Junior Championship (WJC), sometimes referred to as World Juniors, is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for national under-20 ice hockey teams from around the world. A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play.
