Matt McCrane
Matthew McCrane (born September 8, 1994) is an American professional football placekicker for the DC Defenders of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football for the Kansas State Wildcats. He was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He has also played for the Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Guardians, and Cleveland Browns. Early life McCrane attended and played high school football at Brownwood High School. While playing for the Lions, McCrane converted on 41 of 44 extra points and 7 of 12 field goals, including the longest in school history at 52 yards. Placekicker
In gridiron football, the placekicker (PK), or simply kicker (K), is the player responsible for attempts at scoring Field goal (football), field goals and extra points. In most cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist. The term derives from the attempted scorer kicking the ball "from placement" of a teammate holding the ball rather than by individually drop-kicking the ball through the goal posts. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. 2018 NFL Draft
The 2018 NFL draft was the 83rd annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible players for the 2018 NFL season. The draft was held on April 26–28 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington southwest of Dallas; it was the first draft to take place in an NFL stadium and the first to be held in Texas. In order to be eligible to enter the draft, players must be at least three years removed from high school. The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the draft was January 15, 2018. The 2017 Kansas State Wildcats football team represented Kansas State University in the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The ''Kansas State Collegian'' is the official daily student-run newspaper of Kansas State University. Founded in 1896, the ''Collegian'' has a circulation of 4,750. It is owned and published by Collegian Media Group. History The inaugural edition of the student newspaper at K-State, then known as the ''Students' Herald'', was published in 1896. Bill Snyder
William D. Snyder (born October 7, 1939) is an American retired college football coach and former player. He served as the head football coach at Kansas State University from 1989 to 2005 and again from 2009 to 2018. Snyder initially retired from the position from 2006 to 2008 before being rehired. Snyder retired for the second time on December 2, 2018, and is serving as a special ambassador for the athletics department. Snyder was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015 and won several conference and national coach of the year awards. He was the head coach at Kansas State for the program's 300th, 400th, and 500th all-time wins. The ''Brownwood Bulletin'' is a daily newspaper based in Brownwood, Texas, United States. History Brownwood attorney William Harding Mayes purchased the weeklies ''Brownwood Bulletin'' in the 1886 and ''Brownwood Banner'' in the 1887, consolidating them into the ''Brownwood Banner-Bulletin''. His brother H.F. Mayes and he started the daily ''Brownwood Daily Bulletin'' on October 15, 1900. He published the newspaper until 1914. H.F. Mayes and J.C. White bought the newspaper operation in 1919 and operated it until 1940, when C.C. Woodson bought the daily ''Bulletin''.
