Mats Møller Dæhli (born 2 March 1995) is a Norwegian professional association football, footballer who plays as a midfielder for Eliteserien club Molde FK, Molde and the Norway national football team, Norway national team. Born in Oslo, he was previously contracted to English club Manchester United F.C., Manchester United, where he played for the Manchester United F.C. Reserves and Academy, reserve team. He joined Norwegian club Molde FK, Molde, then managed by now former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjær, in July 2013 and made his professional debut the same year. He transferred to Cardiff City in January 2014, after Solskjær had been hired as manager of the Welsh club. Dæhli has been a key player for every Norwegian youth team up to Norway national under-19 football team, under-19 level. Eliteserien () is a professional association football league in Norway and the highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. Seasons run from March to November with each team playing 30 matches (playing each other home and away). Most games are played on Sunday evenings. Norwegian reserve football teams compete at all levels of league football within the Norwegian football league system apart from the top two divisions, Eliteserien and the First Division. The highest league these teams can currently enter is the Second Division, set at the third tier of the league system. The reserve teams are attached to their first teams with a "2" suffix and must play in a lower league than the first team. If a reserve team ends up at a promotion spot when it is not allowed to be promoted, the promotion is awarded to the next team in the league standings which is allowed to be promoted.
