Matilda Rose Ledger
Heath Andrew Ledger (4 April 1979 – 22 January 2008) was an Australian actor. After playing roles in several Australian television and film productions during the 1990s, he moved to the United States in 1998 to further develop his film career. His work consisted of 20 films in a variety of genres, including ''10 Things I Hate About You'' (1999), '' The Patriot'' (2000), ''A Knight's Tale'' (2001), ''Monster's Ball'' (2001), '' Casanova'' (2005), ''Lords of Dogtown'' (2005), ''Brokeback Mountain'' (2005), ''Candy'' (2006), ''I'm Not There'' (2007), ''The Dark Knight'' (2008), and ''The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus'' (2009), the latter two of which were posthumously released. He also produced and directed music videos and aspired to be a film director. 56th Berlin International Film Festival
The 56th Berlin International Film Festival was held from 9 to 19 February 2006. The festival opened with '' Snow Cake'' by Marc Evans. Digitally restored version of Sam Peckinpah's 1972 film '' Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid'' served as the closing film. British actress Charlotte Rampling was selected as the head of the jury. The Golden Bear was awarded to '' Grbavica: The Land of My Dreams'' directed by Jasmila Žbanić. The retrospective was dedicated to the film actresses of 1950s, titled ''Dream Girls. The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus
''The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus'' is a 2009 fantasy film directed by Terry Gilliam and written by Gilliam and Charles McKeown. The film follows a travelling theatre troupe whose leader, having made a Deal with the Devil, bet with the Devil, takes audience members through a magical mirror to explore their imaginations and present them with a choice between self-fulfilling enlightenment or gratifying ignorance. The film stars Heath Ledger, Christopher Plummer, Verne Troyer, Andrew Garfield, Lily Cole, Tom Waits, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, and Jude Law, though Ledger's death one-third of the way through filming caused production to be temporarily suspended.
