Matheus Gonçalves Martins (born 18 August 2005) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Flamengo In September 2022, he was named by English newspaper ''The Guardian'' as one of the best players born in 2005 worldwide. Club career Flamengo Matheus Gonçalves signed for Flamengo at the age of twelve, progressing through the youth ranks and signing his first professional contract in August 2021.
