Masoumeh Dadehbala
Ma'soumeh Dadehbala (; April 10, 1942 – January 20, 1990), known professionally as Hayedeh (, ), was an Iranian singer with a contralto vocal range. Known for her wide range of voice, her career spanned over two decades, and she has been widely described as one of the most popular and influential musicians of Iran. Early life and career Ma'soumeh Dadehbala was born on April 10, 1942 in Tehran. She was the elder sister of another popular singer Mahasti. Her professional career began in 1968 as a singer on a Persian traditional music program in Radio Tehran called " Golhâye Rangârang" ( "Colorful Flowers") directed by Davoud Pirnia. Hayedeh studied '' Avaz'' (Persian vocal music) with the Persian violinist and composer Ali Tajvidi. "Azadeh" (1968), which was composed by Ali Tajvidi, with lyrics by Rahi Moayeri, was Hayedeh's first official hit and debut also. Jaam-e-Jam (TV Channel)
Jaam-e-Jam (also spelled as Jam-e Jam; ) was a Persian-language television channel based in Los Angeles featuring content from Iranian immigrants, active from the early 1980s until 2017. History Jaam-e Jam was established in the early 1980s by Manuchehr Bibian (also known as Manouchehr Bibiyan). He was a former recording company director from Tehran, who moved to Southern California following the Iranian Revolution in 1979. The television station was critical of the Islamic government of Iran, and has received a great deal of media attention as a result. In particular, the station has featured sketch comedy that has parodied the leaders of the Iranian government. Ali Limonadi
Ali Limonadi (Persian: علی لیمونادی) is an Iranian-born American film and television director, television producer, and journalist. He was the founder of IRTV (acronym for "Iranian television"; Persian:تلویزیون ایرانیان) in Los Angeles, the first television representation of the Iranian diaspora in the United States. Early life and career Ali Limonadi was born in Tehran. After high school he moved to Germany. From 1962 until 1968, he studied film directing and cinematography at the Berlin University of the Arts (German: Universität der Künste Berlin). "Das Abonnement" is one of his films which was screened in 1967 on that time. In 1979, months after the Iranian Revolution ended, Limonadi moved to the United States. Leila Kasra
Leila Kasra (; 1939–1989) also known as Hedieh (), (March 27, 1939 – May 16, 1989) was a prominent Iranian contemporary poet and lyricist who has written lyrics for notable artists including Ebi, Dariush, Sattar, Vigen, Moein, Mahasti, Andy, Homeyra, Morteza, Hassan Shamaizadeh, Siavash Shams and many more. She was best known for writing more than 30 songs for Hayedeh. Biography Leila Kasra was born on March 27, 1939, in Tehran. After graduating from high school in Tehran, Kasra moved to England to continue her education where she got a bachelor's degree in English literature from King's College London. When she returned to Iran, she was hired in the Iran Petrochemical Commercial Company, but she left the job to pursue a career in poetry. Bijan Samandar
Bijan Samandar (June 1, 1941 – January 8, 2019; Persian: بیژن سمندر) was a prominent Iranian contemporary poet, lyricist and Tar player who has written lyrics for notable artists including Ebi, Dariush, Sattar, Vigen, Moein, Mahasti, Shahram Shabpareh, Andy, Homeyra, Morteza, Hassan Shamaizadeh, and many more. Exile
