Marvin Seidel
Marvin Emil Seidel (; born 9 November 1995) is a German badminton player. He was the bronze medalist at the 2013 European Junior Championships in the boys' doubles, and a silver medalist at the 2021 European Championships in the men's doubles event. Career In July 2021, Seidel competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the men's doubles partnered with Mark Lamsfuß, but he was eliminated in the group stage. Mark Lamsfuß
Mark Lamsfuß (born 19 April 1994) is a German badminton player and plays for the BC Wipperfeld. He and his partner, Isabel Lohau won a bronze medal in mixed doubles at the 2022 BWF World Championships. Career Lamsfuß started playing badminton at aged 3, and in 2013 he won the Dutch Open Junior tournament in the mixed doubles event partnered with Franziska Volkmann. He and Volkmann also won bronze at the 2013 European Junior Badminton Championships. He became the Germany national badminton team in 2013, and at that year he reach the men's doubles semifinal round of the senior tournament at the Irish Open (badminton), Irish Open International Challenge with Fabian Holzer. Dudweiler
Dudweiler is a borough of Saarbrücken, on the Sulzbach creek. In 977, Dudweiler was first mentioned in official documents of German Emperor Otto II as the location of a chapel (Duodonisvillare). Dudweiler received town privileges on 12 September 1962. In 1974 it was incorporated into the city of Saarbrücken. Ivan Andreyevich Sozonov (; born 6 July 1989) is a Russian badminton player. He competed for Russia at the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Summer Olympics. His current partner is Vladimir Ivanov. Vladimir Alexandrovich Ivanov (; born 3 July 1987) is a Russian badminton player. He was the champion at the 2014 and 2021 European Championships, and also the 2016 All England Open partnering with Ivan Sozonov. The men's doubles badminton tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place from 24 to 31 July at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza at Tokyo. There were 16 pairs from 14 nations competing. Lee Yang and Wang Chi-lin of Chinese Taipei defeated China's Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen in the final, 21–18, 21–12, to win the gold medal in men's doubles badminton at the 2020 Summer Olympics. It was Chinese Taipei's first gold medal in Olympic badminton, and marked the first time since 2008 that the winner of the event was not from the People's Republic of China. The Badminton World Federation, aka BWF, is the international governing body for the sport of badminton approved by the International Olympic Committee. It was founded on 5 July 1934 as the International Badminton Federation with nine member nations: Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales. In 1981, the IBF merged with the World Badminton Federation, and on 24 September 2006, at the Extraordinary General Meeting in Madrid, the name of the organization was changed to Badminton World Federation.
