''Marvel Super Hero Squad'' is a video game developed by Blue Tongue Entertainment, Mass Media Games, Mass Media, and Halfbrick and published by THQ. It was released in October 2009 for the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, and Wii. The game features cartoonish super-deformed versions of the Marvel Comics superhero characters, as seen in the ''Marvel Super Hero Squad'' toy line by Hasbro, as well as the The Super Hero Squad Show, television show made by Film Roman and Marvel Animation for Cartoon Network. Gameplay ''Marvel Super Hero Squad'' is split into two parts: Adventure Mode and Battle Mode. Blue Tongue Entertainment Pty, Ltd. was an Australian video game developer founded in 1995. It was acquired by THQ on 17 November 2004, and remained an internal development studio of THQ until its closure in August 2011. In addition to THQ, Blue Tongue had worked with the publishers Hasbro Interactive and Vivendi Universal Games. Blue Tongue originally provided web development services, and moved into video games in 1995 with their first release, ''AFL (video game series)#AFL Finals Fever, AFL Finals Fever''. The Super Hero Squad Show
''The Super Hero Squad Show'' is an American superhero animated series produced by Marvel Animation that aired from 2009 to 2011. It is based on the Hasbro toyline " Marvel Super Hero Squad", which portrays the Avengers, the X-Men, and various other Marvel characters in chibi forms. The show is also a self-aware parody of Marvel, taking influence from the '' Mini Marvels'' series. The series was produced by Film Roman and Marvel Animation. It was made available to stream on Disney+ shortly after its launch in December 2019. Plot Season 1 Prior to the beginning of the series, Doctor Doom attempted to acquire the Infinity Sword in pursuit of world domination. GameSpy was an American provider of online multiplayer and matchmaking middleware for video games founded in 1999 by Mark Surfas. After the release of a multiplayer server browser for Quake, QSpy, Surfas licensed the software under the GameSpy brand to other video game publishers through a newly established company, GameSpy Industries, which also incorporated his Planet Network of video game news and information websites, and GameSpy.com. MODOK (; also written as M.O.D.O.K.; an acronym for Mental/Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing) is a Character (arts), fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in ''Tales of Suspense'' #93 (September 1967). The first MODOK is George Tarleton, a former employee of Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.), an arms-dealing organization specializing in futuristic weaponry, who undergoes substantial mutagenic medical experimentation originally designed to increase his intelligence. While successful, the experiments result in him developing an oversized head and a stunted body, causing the character's signature look and use of a hoverchair for mobility.
