Martín Varini
Martín Varini Dizioli (born 2 August 1991) is a Uruguayan football manager and former player who played as a central defender. He is the manager of Juárez. Playing career Born in Montevideo, Varini joined Defensor Sporting's youth setup in 2004, aged 13. He was promoted to the first team in 2011, and also took part of the 2012 U-20 Copa Libertadores Final against River Plate. Varini moved to Italy in 2013 to join Italian side Varese, but the move did not materialize. Upon returning, he retired at the age of just 22. Managerial career After retiring, Varini graduated in business administration before returning to his former club Defensor in February 2017, as manager of the youth team. On 9 April 2021, at the age of just 29, he replaced Alejandro Cappuccio as manager of Primera División side Rentistas, and became the youngest manager of the 2021 Copa Libertadores. 2023 Copa Uruguay
The 2023 Copa Uruguay (officially known as Copa AUF Uruguay 2023), was the second edition of the Copa Uruguay, the country's national football cup tournament. The tournament began on 21 August 2023 and had 80 teams participating. It was originally scheduled to end on 10 December 2023, but the tournament was paused at the round of 16 and resumed on 5 February 2024 due to a players strike in Uruguayan football, with the final match eventually moved to 22 May 2024. The Copa Uruguay (officially Copa AUF Uruguay) is a knockout football competition in men's domestic Uruguayan football, starting in 2022. The competition starts in August, with the winner of the cup qualifying for the following year's Copa Libertadores, starting from the 2025 edition. It is also planned to grant the winner a spot in the Supercopa Uruguaya in the future. Paulo Pezzolano
Paulo César Pezzolano Suárez (; born 25 April 1983) is a Uruguayan football manager and former player who played as an attacking midfielder. He is currently manager of club Watford. Playing career Pezzolano comes from the capital city of Montevideo and is a graduate of the local team Rentistas, were for the senior team he was involved in the age of 18. His team was relegated to the Second Division after a poor season in 2001. He spent the next two years, after which he returned with his team to the First División. In 2006, he moved to the Brazilian club Atlético Paranaense; but, after six months, he returned to his native country, signing an agreement with Defensor Sporting. In the 2006–07 season, he took a decisive role with his team to achieve third place in the league and to get to the quarter-finals of the 2007 Copa Libertadores.
