Martin Svědík (born 27 June 1974) is a Czech Republic, Czech association football, football manager (association football), manager and former football player, player. Playing career As a player, Svědík played as a forward. The Czech Cup (), officially known as the MOL Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the major men's football cup competition in the Czech Republic. It is organised by the Czech Football Association. The Czech Cup was first held in 1961. The winner would then face the winner of the Slovak Cup in the Czechoslovak Cup final. This competition was discontinued in 1993, after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia into two independent states (Czech Republic and Slovakia). The Czech National Football League (, ''FNL''), known as Chance Národní Liga due to sponsorship reasons, is the second level professional association football league in the Czech Republic. Before 2013 it was known as 2. liga or Druhá liga. The top team each season is eligible for promotion to the Czech First League, while the second and third placed teams enter play offs for possible promotion. The league replaced the I.ČNL (I. ''Deník'' is a regional daily newspaper in the Czech Republic. History Originally owned by German publishing company Verlagsgruppe Passau (VGP), ''Deník'' has been owned by Penta Investments since 2015. VGP has a monopoly on the Czech regional press. In September 2006, regional newspapers across the Czech Republic were rebranded to ''Deník'' with a regional adjective appended, including ''Pražský deník'' (). Apart from the Prague-based version, further 72 regional newspapers were branded as part of this launch.
