Martin Modéus
Nils Martin Modéus (born 1 March 1962) is a Swedish theologian and bishop who is Archbishop of Uppsala and primate of the Church of Sweden. Prior to this, he was bishop of the Diocese of Linköping from 2011 until 2022, when he was installed as Archbishop. Biography Modéus was ordained a priest in 1986 for the Diocese of Växjö. He served as a curate and vicar of the parish of Byarum until 1988 when he became district leader and curate of the parish of Tullinge-Tumba, Sweden, Tumba in the Diocese of Stockholm (Church of Sweden), Diocese of Stockholm. He held this position until 1995. In 1996, he was assigned by the Swedish church to write a book that resulted in the book ''Tradition och liv (Tradition and life)'' . From 1997 to 1999, Modéus undertook a PhD in Old Testament exegesis at the University of Lund. From 2000 to 2003, Modéus worked once more as a curate in Tullinge-Tumba. The Most Reverend
The Most Reverend (abbreviated as The Most Revd or The Most Rev) is an honorific style (form of address), style given to certain (primarily Western Christian, Western) Christian clergy and Christian minister, ministers. Diocese Of Stockholm (Church Of Sweden)
The Diocese of Stockholm () is a division of the Church of Sweden. Its cathedral is Storkyrkan in Stockholm's Old Town. The diocese covers most of metropolitan Stockholm and was formed in 1942 from parts of the medieval dioceses of Strängnäs and Uppsala, both of which pre-dated the foundation of the city. Before 1942, the City of Stockholm itself and Greater Stockholm were divided more or less equally between the two medieval dioceses at Slussen just south of Stockholm's Old Town. Martin Lind
Martin Claes Lind is bishop emeritus of the Diocese of Linköping in the Church of Sweden and former bishop of the Lutheran Church in Great Britain. He was Bishop of Linköping from 1 February 1995 to 2 March 2011. He was appointed bishop of the Lutheran Church in Great Britain in January 2014 and retired in 2019. Youth and education As a teenager, Lind was active in the Malmö Christian Upper Secondary School Students' Association (Malmö KGF), which he chaired. At the same time, he was active in the Societas Sanctae Birgittae, but shortly after his ordination, he left this society. He was ordained a priest in 1966 for the Diocese of Lund at age 22. This required a dispensation from the Swedish Government as he was under the required age for ordination.
