Martin Lecián
Martin Lecián (31 October 1900 – 6 October 1927) was a Czechoslovak serial killer who murdered 3 policemen and a prison officer and attempted to kill 7 other policemen. He was executed on 6 October 1927. His case was very famous, with several articles appearing in newspapers that glorified his actions. Biography Lecián was born on 31 October 1900 in Uherský Ostroh and was brought up in a youth detention centre. Immediately after his release, he began to commit crimes and was twice punished by the Regional Court of Uherské Hradiště. During his military service, he fled five times. After his last desertion, he met Maria Krenovska and together they started stealing treasures all over Moravia. They opened the door by pulling out the 4 to 5 mm thick coffin cloak to destroy the locking mechanism, and then opened the cash register without having to inhale any ashes. Slavkov U Brna
Slavkov u Brna (; historically known in German as Austerlitz) is a town in Vyškov District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,000 inhabitants. The town gave its name to the Battle of Austerlitz which took place several kilometres west of the town. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone. Púchov
Púchov (german: Puchau; hu, Puhó) is an industrial town in the centre of Púchov District in Slovakia, with a population close to 18,000. Geography It is located on the main train line between Bratislava and Košice. It is half way between Trenčín and Žilina, two major Slovak cities, approximately 30 minutes train from both cities. The Váh river crosses Púchov, and there is a small dam open to public crossing. The health resort Nimnica (until 1990 part of Púchov) is situated in the vicinity and is a starting point for tours to Javorníky and White Carpathians mountains. Nový Bohumín, lit. "New Bohumín" ( pl, Nowy Bogumin; german: Neu Oderberg) is a part of the town of Bohumín in Karviná District, Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic. Polešovice is a market town in Uherské Hradiště District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,000 inhabitants. Geography Polešovice is located about southwest of Uherské Hradiště and southwest of Zlín.
